Kununarra to Katherine

After Kununurra we headed north again and we hit a big bump in the road which turned out to be the WA/NT border. After all the bullshit about getting rid of all our fruit and veggies, we didn't even have to stop as we passed through, and it snuck up so quick

we didn't even get a photo of the station.
We drove on a further 70 kms to Saddle Creek for a cuppa and Nanny spied this rock that looked like a wide mouth frog.

Then we went on to East Baines River for the night. The road stops in the NT are few and far between (approx 50-70kms) but they are really nice. Lot's of shade and gazeebo's and dunny's. All kept really nice.

I had 1 too many and finished up crashing in my lounge chair for a couple of hours. Weather is starting to warm up and the humidity is starting to show itself.

Next day we drove on to Victoria River Roadhouse (about 200kms from Katherine. The scenery is fantastic. Just like the Pilbara, only bigger.

After a lazy afternoon and a Buffalo Burger we watched the moon come up and then hit the sack for the night.

Today we landed in Katherine. We are staying in the Riverview Caravan Park for the next four nights before moving along towards Darwin.

We'll do the touristy thing and get some photos of all the good spots and do a show and tell in the next couple of blogs.

Damm, it's hot and sticky outside so we moved into the air-con in the van to watch a bit of telly.
ZZZZZZZZZ.
